New service at SPINEZIO: Postpartum initial examination using ultrasound

Dear mothers,
The postpartum period is a big change for the body. In addition to the joy of having a baby, it also brings the need for regeneration and gentle but targeted care. At SPINEZIO physiotherapy , we have therefore expanded our offer to to include an initial postpartum examination using ultrasound, which will help you better understand the condition of your body and safely return to movement.

What to expect during the examination?

Within 60 minutes, you will undergo a complete examination that is gentle and tailored to your needs:

  • Interview and medical history – we will discuss your feelings, any difficulties and goals to set up an individual care plan together.
  • Ultrasound examination – gently through the abdominal wall we will assess the condition of the ligamentous connection, the extent of diastasis and the function of the pelvic floor.
  • Physiotherapy examination – we will focus on movement stereotypes, muscle strength, scar healing and pelvic floor function (including the possibility of per vaginam/per rectum examination).
  • Practical recommendations and exercises – you will receive tips on how to strengthen your abdominal wall and pelvic floor, and instructions on how to safely return to your favorite activities.

Why ultrasound?

Ultrasound is a great help not only in diagnosis, but also in therapy itself:

  • is gentle, fast and painless,
  • allows for more precise targeting of exercises and therapy,
  • provides immediate feedback and control of the effect of therapy.
